Beauty of Kumaon

Title : Beauty of Kumaon This is my most ambitious project. I always wanted to represent the beauty of my region Nainital, Uttarakhand. The best way to represent a State is by its people. Here I celebrate the existence of its beautiful culture through this art piece. Women of Kumaon are well known for their strength and valour. In this art piece the rural woman is decorated in Kumauni Jewellery, she is wearing Galoband, Nath,Kundal etc which showcases how Pahadi women actually dresses. Also, the background represents beautiful carved wood on the door that is used in the houses of Kumaon which also gives a true essence of our artistic tradition.
