Mahalakshmi

Maa Mahalakshmi of Kolhapur is one of the Shakti Peeths. I wanted to paint it since so long but finally I could paint only after I visited her in Kolhapur. I am a nature love so I always like to show nature around the main subject, because God/Goddesses are nothing but nature. I wanted to show a dark monsoon clouds in one side and the light coming from the other side. I did the contrast colors in the background with the main subject.
